Joffrey Lupul Plasters Kyle Quincey from Behind
During the second period of the Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1 shooutout victory over Detroit on Wednesday, Joffrey Lupul drilled Detroit defenseman Kyle Quincey from behind, drawing a two-minute boarding penalty. Thanks to a 41-save performance from Leafs goalie James Reimer, Toronto hung in for the shootout win and improved to 7-1-1 in their last nine. Lupul, who was suspended two-games last season for a hit to the head on Tampa's Victor Hedman, could be hearing from the NHL again on this one.
