Video: Tarasenko Schools Crawford on Breakaway

The St. Louis Blues didn't win the game, but Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko continued winning hearts and minds with this breakaway beauty on Sunday in St. Louis.

Tarasenko's 28th of the season, which leads all Blues, ties the Russian with Steven Stamkos for fourth in the NHL.

The Blues, now 34-15-4, have lost two in a row after going unbeaten in their previous 13. Despite the 4-2 loss to their rivals, the Blues still lead Chicago by four points in the Central Division standings.

Tarasenko, 23, has already surpassed his career-high goal total by seven. He scored 21 in 64 games last season.

Video: Ref Contributes to Key Turnover and Vermont Goal

File this one under: Hey Ref!

UVM's Dan Senkbeil converted this golden opportunity after receiving a loose puck on his stick when UNH's Brett Pesche had a "Three Stooge" run-in with a referee. Poor form for the ref, who had time on the play to either a) skate behind the play or, b) recognize that getting behind the play was not an option and instead make a mad scramble for the boards behind Pesce.

He didn't, and the rest is, as the kids say, lol.
