Cap's Wilson Buries Jonathan Toews with Heavy Shoulder Hit

Not only did Washington's Tom Wilson make this splendid--and clean--open ice hit on Jonathan Toews during the first period of the Capitals' 4-1 win over the Blackhawks on Thursday, he also drew a penalty on the play when Chicago's Viktor Tikhonov hunted him down along the boards and was handed an interference penalty.

On the ensuing PP, T.J. Oshie scored his first goal for his new team, and the Caps never looked back.

You won't see an assist from Wilson on the scoresheet, but in our mind he's got one.
