McDavid Displays Hockey IQ, World-Class Chops on 4th Career Goal
Connor McDavid is looking more and more like the complete package as the first month of his first season reaches the mid point. The 18-year-old displayed his ability to make intelligent, veteran-like plays without the puck on this gorgeous goal, and it was pointed out nicely by Oilers' color man Drew Remenda. Watch as Mcdavid jostles for position as he approached the blueline. He stays onside and gives himself plenty of open ice to deal with as he then gains the line, dusts Brad Richards and moves in to receive the pass from Benoit Pouliot. After that, the rest is slick-wristed history. Sick move, sick goal, and the Oilers are looking like a team on the rise (at least for now). Note: It was McDavid's first goal on home ice.
