Panthers Set Scoring Record vs. Flyers in Opener

The Florida Panthers opened their season on a high not. The Flyers? Not so much. The Panthers scored four goals in the first 6:46 of their season-opening 7-1 rout of the Flyers. According to Elias, the Panthers set a modern NHL record for fastest four goals to start a season. It was also the quickest four goals scored in Florida's franchise history (5:23).

Check out the first goal in the highlight package below and you can quickly tell that Steve Mason didn't bring his best stuff for the Flyers.

Watch the fourth goal and you'll start to question whether or not Mason might have layed some money on the Panthers in this one.
