Watch: Connor McDavid Outsmarts P.K. Subban to Spring Pouliot for Game-Tying Goal
You can teach a lot of stuff to young hockey players, but there are some things that players just have to get. Connor McDavid, clearly, gets it. Watch as the 18-year-old uses his body to create the perfect positioning on P.K. Subban along the wall as a drifting puck is wheeled towards him. Reading the play, he slowly drifts behind Subban and when the puck shoots in his direction he's ready to apply the necessary leverage to ward Subban off and allow the puck to roll through. Then he turns, gently slides it over to a racing Benoit Pouliot, and the rest is history. McDavid has two assists tonight vs. Montreal, and the rookie has now notched points in seven consecutive games.
