Though the hit looked pretty brutal on replay, Sabres coach Dan Bylsma said he didn't feel that Arvidsson's actions were malicious. “I don’t think there was intent there to maliciously cross-check,” Bylsma said, according to Vogl. “They kind of lose the puck, turn and his stick is right at that level and delivers a blow. When you look at it, it’s a pretty stiff cross-check to Carlo’s neck.” According to Vogl, the NHL any further discipline for Arvidsson is unlikely.
Thanks for all the support and well wishes, I am doing very well and looking forward to getting back with my teammates @BuffaloSabres— Carlo Colaiacovo (@CarloColaiacovo) November 29, 2015
Both Dan Bylsma and Peter Laviolette felt the cross-check was not malicious in intent, and I hear the NHL agrees. Don't expect suspension.— John Vogl (@BuffNewsVogl) November 29, 2015
