Gagner Bloodied after Face-First Fall
Flyers Center Sam Gagner took this big hit from Carolina's Brad Malone and ended up face-planting during the Flyer's 3-2 OT win over the Hurricanes. Gagner left the game and did not return. He was bloodied and it was not clear if his visor what was what actually cut him. Rookie defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere scored a power-play goal 24 seconds into overtime to give the Philadelphia Flyers the win. The Flyers had a 2-0 lead after two periods, but the Hurricanes got goals by Victor Rask and Brett Pesce, which forced the OT. It was the Flyers first win at home in seven games.
