Sharks Finish Perfect Road Trip with Columbus Explosion
Joe Pavelski, Brent Burns and Brenden Dillon all scored 7:02 apart in the third period to complete a stunning comeback in Columbus on Sunday night. With the win the Sharks become the first NHL team to sweep a road trip of at least six games in four years (the last time to do it was the Bruins in 2011). The improve to 13-8-0 on the Season.
The victory also marked the first time in seven tries that the Sharks have come from behind in a game that saw them trail after two.
The Sharks started the road trip as a sub .500 team surrounded by question marks. They finish in first place in the Pacific Conference, and will head home to face the Blackhawks on Wednesday evening.
