NBC's Pierre McGuire makes an interesting point at the end of the above video. Note that Penguins' defenseman Olli Maatta actually clips the face of his teammate Kris Letang and the ref mistakenly gives the penalty to Chris Porter. Should coach's challenges be extended similar situations in the future? If you can challenge bogus offsides calls, why shouldn't you be able to challenge horrible calls be refs?
Another thought: When a team gets a coach's challenge right, shouldn't they be able to keep their timeout?
