Watch: Boychuk Scores from outside Blue Line vs. Stalok

Having scored nine goals in their previous six games prior to the beginning of their west coast trip, the New York Islanders have been desperate for goals. In other words, they'll take this one.

Watch as Islanders' defenseman Johnny Boychuk lays the lumber into this 75-foot slap shot, sending it past Sharks' goalie Alex Stalock. Islanders' color commentator Butch Goring was tough on he goalie, but truth be told: this shot by Boychuk is pretty damn wicked.

Sharks coach Peter DeBoer looked like he wanted to pull Stalock, but he had already pulled his starting goalie, Martin Jones, after he gave up two quick goals in the first three-and-a-half minutes of the first period.

The Isles currently lead 3-1 with just over 12 to play, despite being outshot 31-20.
