Brendan Gallagher Will Return for Winter Classic

After missing more than a month due to two fractured fingers on his left hand, Montreal Canadiens right wing Brendan Gallagher will make his return for the Winter Classic on Friday at Gillette Stadium. The news could't come at a better time for the Canadiens. They've only mustered 25 goals in their past 15 games, and have slipped out of first place in the Atlantic Division at 21-15-3.

Montreal was 16-4-2 before Gallagher, who is 9-10-19 and a plus-7 on the season, was injured.

"Obviously, a healthy Brendan helps our team," Canadiens left wing Lars Eller said, according to NHL.com. "It helps our depth, it helps a lot of things. Everybody brings something different to this team, and I think early in the year that was really one of our strengths. Hopefully, we can get back to that very soon."
