Isles Prospect Scores Sick Between-the-Legs Goal

As far as shootout markers go, this is a pretty pristine move by New York Islanders prospect Viktor Crus Rydberg of HK Vita Hasten in Sweden. Rydberg, 20, backs in and torques the tweener top shelf against an unsuspecting goalie Jonas Fransson. Cool, smooth, casual, like a pool trickster hustling a newbie for a grand. Maybe if we saw more moves like this in NHL shootouts the skills competition wouldn't have been so reviled? Nah, probably not.

Rydberg, who scored 45 points in the OHL last season for the Plymouth Whalers, was drafted in the 5th round of the 2013 NHL draft by the Isles. He is currently playing for HC Vita Hasten in Tier II of the Swedish Elites.
