Palmieri's Roof Job Beats Red Wings in OT
The Detroit Red Wings pushed their points streak to 13 games, but it was the New Jersey Devils that came away with the victory in overtime on Friday night. Kyle Palmieri buried his 13th of the season to give the Devils the 3-2 win over Detroit on Friday at the Prudential Center. New Jersey improves to 15-10-4 on the season with the win. Palmieri also assisted on the game-tying goal by Sergey Kalinin at 14:40 of the third. Here's another look at Palmieri's sweet OT goal: Palmieri now has six goals in his last seven games. The 24-year-old is in his first season with the Devils and he's already within one of his career best total of 14, which he posted in the last two seasons with Anaheim. The Wings got goals from Tomas Tatar and Gustav Nyquist but they could not make their 2-0 lead stand up. Still, they've gone 8-0-5 in their last 13 games and tied the Rangers for the longest run of consecutive points in the NHL this season.
