Rinne Robs Domi and Preds Rally
The Nashville Predators were there usually stingy selves on Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena, and the offense eventually followed suit. After scoring just six goals in their previous six games the Predators erupted for four in the final period to down the Coyotes, 5-2. It might have been a different game had Pekka Rinne not committed this highway robbery on Max Domi half way through the first period. But somehow Rinne got to this puck before it crossed the line (video replays were inconclusive so the on-ice call of no goal was upheld). Predators coach Peter Laviolette hopes the outburst will signal the end of a slump that saw Nashville lose five of its final six games of November, many of which saw the Predators hold the shots advantage. "It can be frustrating when you're playing like that and not getting the results that you're looking for, so I'm really happy that we stayed with it," Laviolette said. "We didn't get frustrated. We didn't start taking penalties. Just kept our eye on the ball for 60 minutes. It was a real solid 60."
