Holtby's 22-Game Streak Halted by Sabres

Goaltender Braden Holtby was pulled after allowing three goals on 16 shots and lost in regulation for the first time since Nov. 10, ending a personal streak of 20-0-2.

Holtby fell one game short of tying the Capitals record set by Jose Theodore, who went 20-0-3 from Jan. 13 to April 9, 2010. The NHL record is held by Gerry Cheevers of the Boston Bruins, who went 32 games without a loss in the 1971-72 season (24 wins, eight ties).

The 26-year-old Sasketchewan native is currently 1st in wins, 2nd in GAA and 3rd in save percentage among NHL goaltenders
