Video: Sens' Ryan Gets Spun Face-First into Boards

Ottawa right winger Bobby Ryan spun face-first into the boards after getting tangled up with Bruins defender Torey Krug during Ottawa's 2-1 OT win on Saturday at Canadian Tire Center. It looked pretty bad on contact, and though Ryan was able to get to his feet, he was clearly hobbled as he half-crouched and half-skated off the ice.

Remarkably, Ryan would make his return in time for overtime after taking some time off.

Mark Stone buried an OT winner for the Sens, who moved to within a point of the Bruins at 20-16-6 with the win.

“It was a big goal for us,” Stone said. “We needed these points. We’ve been struggling a bit of late, so we need to get on the winning track. It’s a big extra one for us.”
