Blues' Pietrangelo to Miss Three Weeks with Knee Injury
St. Louis Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo will miss the next three weeks with a knee injury that stemmed from a knee-on-knee hit from Minnesota Wild center Charlie Coyle on Saturday night in St. Louis. Pietrangelo has 23 points in 55 games and was averaging over 26 minutes per game for the Blues. He leads the team in that category. "We've done a helluva job in dealing with injuries to significant players and this is another one," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. Coyle did not recieve a penalty on the play, and according to Wild beat writer Mike Russo, he will not receive a hearing from the NHL's Department of Player Safety.
