Caps' Carlson to Miss 3-4 Weeks with LBI

Capitals' defenseman John Carlson is heading to the sidelines again. Carlsson, second on his team in ice time, missed about a month earlier in the season. He had returned to action on January 27, but the same injury is nagging him again.

“He’s out for a while,” coach Barry Trotz said. “He had a procedure, just to take care of that sort of nagging thing he had all of the time. He’s going to probably be out for a couple of weeks here.”

Here's more from Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post:

"Carlson missed 12 games earlier this season, and with the injury wasn’t healing as the team expected, the Capitals opted to take another step for Carlson to be 100 percent healthy entering the playoffs. He was a full participant at Friday’s morning skate, but then didn’t in the game."
