Gostisbehere Ties Flyers Rookie Record Points Streak

Flyers D-man Shayne Gostisbehere is keeping himself involved in the Calder conversation by putting up serious numbers for the Philadelphia Flyers. During the Flyers win over Buffalo on Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center, he tied the Flyers record for points in consecutive games by a rookie (Mikael Renberg, 1993-94). And he's also tied a similar record for NHL rookies:

The 22-year-old has tied the NHL record for points in consecutive games by a defenseman with 10. Barry Beck has held that record since 1977-78.

Gostisbehere's run of nine consecutive games with an assist is also the most in the NHL since 2013-2014.

The former Union Dutchman has 29 points in 35 games for the Flyers and he's a plus-4 on the season.

He's fifth in rookie scoring and first in rookie power play points in the NHL.
