Roberto Luongo made 36 saves during the Panthers 6-3 victory over Detroit on Thursday night in front of 16,991 at BB&T Center. The 36-year-old extended his franchise-record home winning streak to nine games and moved into sole possession of seventh place on the NHL's all-time wins list with 424, which breaks tie with Tony Esposito. Luongo now sits just 13 wins behind Jacques Plante for No. 6 on the list. The Panthers improved to 31-15-5 with the win and now lead the Atlantic Division by seven points. Jaromir Jagr also picked up his 1,000 career assist in the win. The 43-year-old is now three goals shy of tying Brett Hull for 3rd on the all-time list and eleven points shy of tying Gordie Howe for third on the all-time points list.
