Simmonds Gets Ejected for Sucker-Punching McDonagh

Tempers flared midway through the first period of the Metro Division battle between the Rangers and Flyers, and Wayne Simmonds got carried away. At the end of an altercation with Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh, Simmonds lands a sneaky left jab to the jaw of McDonagh.

Simmonds got a match penalty for the play, and the Rangers announced shortly thereafter that McDonagh would not return.

McDonagh was given two for slashing and two for high-sticking on the play.
