Crosby made a smart hockey play by charging out to the point to cover Ryan Getzlaf after a chaotic sequence. Getzlaf has had his troubles with the puck this year and they continued in full as Crosby blocked Getzlaf's attempt to get the puck down low and cruised off on a breakaway. He made no mistake. Crosby also has an assist in the game, which means he's officially at a point-per-game production for the season, with 51 points in 51 games. It's pretty remarkable when you consider that Crosby was held scoreless in his first five games and only managed one goal and four assists in his first 12 games. He's still got a way to go tonight. The Pens lead Anaheim 4-2 after two. Update: Crosby has netted a goal and an assist in the third period and he now has 33 points in his last 20 games.
