Watch: Gostisbehere Stretches Point Streak to 13

Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere extended his point streak to 13 consecutive games with this goal in the first period of tonight's Flyers-Devils matchup. The 22-year-old has eclipsed the previous record for consecutive points by a rookie defenseman by 3 already (it was held by Barry Beck, who did it twice in the 77-78 season if you're scoring at home).

Some details on "Ghost's" streak, and remarkable rookie season: Gostisbehere has 16 points in the 13-game streak, which dates back to January 19. He now has 32 points in 38 games for the Flyers, which puts him at 5th among NHL rookies (all positions). He entered tonight's game tied for 5th among all NHL defenseman in points per game, and third among all rookies (all positions) in points per game.

Paul Stastny's holds the all-time record for consecutive points for rookies (all positions), which stands at 20.

If the Ghost really gets carried way, the all-time consecutive points record for a defenseman is held by Paul Coffey at 28.

Gostisbehere holds the fifth-longest NHL rookie points streak since 1987-1988, per Elias:
