Watch: Simmonds and McIlrath Jaw in Warmpups, Brawl in-Game

There's no love lost between Wayne Simmonds and the New York Rangers. Simmonds, who knocked out Ryan McDonagh at the end of an altercation on February 6th, has drawn the ire of Rangers players and coaches since. Today New York defenseman Dylan McIlrath aired out his grievances with Simmonds during warmups and the two took it up a notch during the game.

It only took 39 seconds for them to drop the gloves, then they went at it for what seemed like 15 rounds. It was a lengthy scrap, and we must note: wise move by the linesmen for not stepping in earlier. When big boys like this are throwing down it's best to let them tire one another out.

The Rangers lead 1-0 after one on the strength of Derick Brassard's 19th of the season.

McDonagh, who skated for the first time since being injured by Simmonds two days ago, is still day-to-day with concussion symptoms.
