Jagr Ties Gordie Howe for Third on NHL's All-Time Points List
Another night, another freakishly cool milestone. Jaromir Jagr's secondary assist on Erik Gudbranson's goal during the Panthers 3-2 loss to the Avalanche at Pepsi Center on Thursday means that the 44-year-old has tied Gordie Howe for third on the all-time scoring list with 1,850 points. Jagr is now 37 points behind Mark Messier for second on the list. The Panthers' winger has 21 goals and 27 assists and is a plus-16 on the season. In other news, Jagr has been playing for longer than nine NHL teams have existed. And if that didn't impress you, how about this: Jagr has stopped drinking ten cups of coffee a day for lent, and it hasn't slowed him down. In case you were wondering, Wayne Gretzky tops the NHL's all-time points list with 2,857 points. Do you think Jagr can play for another 20 years? Because that's about how long it would take Jags to catch the Great One.
