Kadri Suspended Four Games for Cross-Checking Incident

Nazem Kadri's season is over.

The Maple Leaf's center lost his cool during Saturday night's game with the Red Wings in Toronto and ended up cross-checking Luke Glendening to the head at the end of a skirmish between the two.

"Kadri gets to his feet and takes several hard strides towards Glendining," the NHL states in the video. "Ignoring the puck entirely, Kadri raises his stick and uses his momentum to drive it directly into the head of Glendening."

Kadri, who was assessed a two-minute minor on the play, gets four games without pay for his offence. Toronto, which failed to make the playoffs, has four games left in the regular season. This is the third suspension of the 25-year-old's career.
