McDonagh out for Rest of Regular Season

The Rangers will be without captain Ryan McDonagh for the rest of the regular season, the team announced on Tuesday. McDonagh, who hurt his right hand blocking a shot by Brandon Dubinsky during Monday night's 4-2 win over Columbus, will be re-evaluated at before the playoffs.

Rookie defenseman Brady Skjei, who was recalled from Hartford of the American Hockey League, will play against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.

McDonagh is averaging over 22 minutes of ice time and has 34 points in 73 games this season. The Rangers' captain is a team-leading plus-26 on the year.
