Video: Henrik Lundqvist Takes Stick Near the Eye and Stays in Game



UPDATE: Lundqvist did not return for the second period.

Henrik Lundqvist took a bit of friendly fire during the first period of Wednesday night's playoff battle with the Pittsburgh Penguins, as his own defenseman Marc Staal accidently stabs his stick through the grates of Lundqvist's helmet, sending the goalie tumbling to the ice in panic.

After spending time with trainers and at the bench, Lundqvist was deemed good to go back into the game (thankfully).

Not long after his return, Patric Hornqvist scored at 19:42 to give the Penguins a 1-0 lead at fist intermission.
