Watch: Ovechkin's Hattie Gives Him a Seventh 50-Goal Season

Alexander Ovechkin cracked a huge milestone in his team's penultimate regular season game on Saturday, scoring three goals to become just the third player in NHL history to record seven 50-goal seasons in a 5-1 victory over the Blues on Saturday night in St. Louis.

“It’s harder and harder to score goals in this league,” Ovechkin said. “It’s a pretty big number so I’m pretty excited.”

It was Ovechkin's second hat-trick of the season and 15th of his career.

The Russian sniper is 33rd on the NHL's all-time goals scored list with 525, in 839 games.
