Zatkoff to Start Game 1 for Pens

The New York Rangers were always going to have a goaltending advantage against the Pittsburgh Penguins with Henrik Lundqvist as their goalie. Now they have a massive advantage as Marc-Andre Fleury (concussion) and Matt Murray (head) are both out of action for Wednesday night's playoff opener in Pittburgh.

Lundqvist has won 24 playoff games in the last two post-seasons, including eight against Pittsburgh.

Zatkoff has never played an NHL playoff game, but he did have a .958 save percentage in two games with Wilkes-Barre in last year's AHL playoffs. No word on whether or not Zatkoff slept at a Holiday Inn last night.

Zatkoff was 4-7-1 with a .917 save percentage in 14 games this season. He has played in a total of 35 games.

That should ease the sting of not having Ryan McDonagh for the Rangers. But it sure will sting if they lose.
