Ben Street Is Okay after Skate to Neck Incident

Red Wings' forward Ben Street is okay after taking a skate to the neck during Friday's game in Hamilton, Ontario. The skate of Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Justin Holl clipped Street's neck. Medical personnel quickly treated the cut and he was taken to a hospital.

Wings' coach Jeff Blashill said Street is making a full recovery.

“Ben was cut in the neck,” Blashill said. “They explored the wound. There was no major damages. He was taken to hospital last night to make sure. He was released from the hospital last night and he is on his way home. We would like to thank the Toronto doctors. They did an outstanding job. Our medical staff couldn't say enough good things about them. He is going to be just fine.”
