The Buffalo Sabres will be without their prize center Jack Eichel for tomorrow's season opener against the Montreal Canadiens. Eichel got tangled up in practice on Wednesday and ended up falling awkwardly on his left leg. Later in the day the team announced a diagnosis via Twitter:

Eichel, the second overall pick in the 2015 NHL draft, went 24-32-56 in 81 games in his rookie season for Buffalo.
