Auston Matthews Snaps 13-Game Goalless Drought

Everybody in Toronto can breathe a little easier right now. Auston Matthews, the No.1 overall pick and scorer of four goals in his NHL debut, has regained his scoring touch. The 19-year-old has scored a pair tonight (see first goal above, second goal below) at the Rock in New Jersey, snapping a 13-game drought that saw him take 45 shots on goal without finding the twine.

Check back later for an update on what is sure to be an eight-goal night for the rookie.
