Hamonic, who has been on the Isles top pair with Nick Leddy all season, has gone 2-3-5 and is a minus-7 for the Isles in 12 games this season. He has a 43.1 Corsi and a Corsi REL of -4.0.
Nothing needed today with #Isles off, but Adam Pelech will be up and in lineup tomorrow.— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) November 6, 2016

The Islanders will be without defenseman Travis Hamonic for 4-6 weeks. The 26-year-old sustained an upper body injury while blocking a shot off the stick of Oilers' forward Patrick Maroon. Hamonic left the game and did not return after blocking a wrist shot with his right arm during the first period of New York's 4-3 shootout loss to Edmonton. The Islanders have already lost defenseman Ryan Pulock to a broken foot earlier this season. They will reportedly call up Adam Pelech from Bridgeport for Monday's game against the Canucks in Brooklyn.
