The injury bug has hit the Montreal Canadiens, but at least Carey Price is still healthy. Last year it was Price's LBI that sideswipped the Habs and started an avalanche of bad things that led to missing the post-season and the eventual trade of P.K. Subban.
Pretty tough timing to have two centers go down at the same time, and especially tough to lose Galchenyuk, who is the teams leading scorer with 9-14-23.
The Habs are currently 5 points clear of Ottawa and six clear on Boston at the top of the Atlantic Division, so they do have a bit of wiggle room. They also have a healthy Carey Price, so things could be far, far worse.
As Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette writes, this might be the perfect time for the struggling Tomas Plekanec to find his game.
