Laine Dishes High Praise to Nikolaj Ehlers



In Winnipeg Nikolaj Ehlers scored his first multi-goal game of the season to help the Jets defeat the Avalanche 4-1 at MTS Centre on Sunday. Ehlers, 20, went 15 games without a goal but finally broke the streak on Dec. 10 at Calgary.

The speedy Dane now has 7 goals and 19 assists and is just 12 points from matching his points total from last season.

Patrik Laine was quick to praise the awe-inspiring skills of Ehlers in the dressing room after the game.

"I honestly haven't seen that kind of guy who can skate so well," Laine said of Ehlers. "He can dangle from top speed and he can shoot the puck like everybody saw in this game. He's a special player and it's nice to be in the same line as him."
