Philip Larsen Knocked Cold by Taylor Hall and Stretchered Off

This is about as scary as it gets. Canucks' defenseman Philip Larsen was out cold after this giant hit by Taylor Hall during the second period of New Jersey's 3-2 win over Vancouver at the Prudential Center.

The hit by Hall appears to be clean. As a former teammate of, Hall expressed concern about Larsen's health.

“I feel terrible, he’s a former teammate of mine,” Hall told reporters of his Oilers teammate from 2013-14. “I’m looking to make contact there but never want to see a guy lying on the ice like that. I just would have loved to make a hit there and continue to play, so I hope he’s all right.”

According to Sportsnets Dan Murphy, Larsen's condition had improved significantly before he was taken to the hospital.
