Krejci Gets 500th Point vs Flyers
Thanks to a beautiful primary assist from Austin Czarnik, Bruins sniper David Krejci got his 500th point at TD Garden during Boston's 6-3 win over the Flyers on Saturday. It was also a big day for Brad Marchand who celebrated his 500th NHL game with five points for the B's. Marchand scored shorthanded and on an empty net and added three assists to match his career-best total for points in a game. In ten full NHL seasons with Boston, Krejci has 144 goals and 356 assists. The 30-year-old has 28 points on the season. Philadelphia's defensive woes continue in full force. The Flyers have 2-4-2 since Christmas, allowing 28 goals in those eight games. Philly falls to 22-17-6 and their lead over Carolina for the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference is down to three points (Carolina has three games in hand).
