Maurice Miffed as Inconsistent Jets Lay an Egg vs. Habs
The Winnipeg Jets tossed in a clunker against the Montreal Canadiens at MTS Centre on Wednesday, leaving head coach Paul Maurice on the verge of a meltdown. He's been relatively calm all season, especially when one consideres the ebbs and flows of Winnipeg's season, but something about Wednesday's 7-4 loss to Montreal really ticked Maurice off. "It was the whole fucking game, from the goaltender from every guy up front," said Maurice, adding: "We were horsheshit from the start, from the drop of that first puck right to the very end." Winnipeg drops to 20-21-3 with the loss, and 11-9-1 at home. Montreal improves to 26-10-6 with the win. Rookie Artturi Lehkonen and center Phillip Danault each notched two goals for the Atlantic-leading Canadiens.
