Oiler Country Pays Tribute to Taylor Hall, Kassian Tries to Kill Him
Taylor Hall was given a warm welcome on his return to Edmonton, as the Devils visited Rogers Place for the first time on Thursday evening. Hall, who spent six years with Edmonton and was the No.1 overall pick in the 2010 draft, would later pick up an assist on the Devils second goal, which was scored by Steven Santini. The Devils currently lead 2-1 as the teams approach the midpoint of the third stanza. Zach Kassian later changed the tone in the third period when he went after Taylor Hall inadvertently (or did he do it on purpose?) threw an elbow into the jaw of Kassian. Kassian chased Hall down the ice, dropped the gloves and took a few shots at Hall, who did not want to partake. Several replays of the incident showed that Hall's elbow was a little bit nastier than it first appeared (check the above video at 1:52).
