Predators win on Josi's last-second shorthanded goal in overtime
The Nashville Predators squandered a late lead and lost Pekka Rinne's shutout with 49 seconds left in the third period on Tuesday night in Nashville. With the Western Conference wild card standing so tight it was exactly what the Preds didn't want to let happen. Things got worse when Mattias Ekholm went off for holding at 3:20 of overtime. But the Predators weathered the storm and got a massive goal by Roman Josi with 1.5 seconds left to score the thrilling overtime victory. Nashville climbs within a point of the Canucks for 10th in the West with the win, but they have two games in hand. Only six points separate the two current wild card teams (Calgary and Los Angeles) and the next four teams (Vancouver, Nashville, Winnipeg and Dallas).
