According to Detroit head coach Jeff Blashill, the timetable is unknown. "I don't have a total timetable, but I know it's a fractured wrist so to me that would put him in that frame," Blashill said. Typically this injury is about a 6-8 week recovery time, reports NHL.com's Tom Gulitti. The injury puts the Wings in a tough spot on the blue line. Ericsson was averaging 19:13 a game, and the team just lost defenseman Alexey Marchenko after waiving him. Detroit drops to 22-22-10 with the loss--they are tied with Buffalo and Tampa Bay for last place in the Eastern Conference.
