Watch: Fabbri Knocked out for Season by Hit from Rowney
The St. Louis Blues lost 19-year-old forward Robby Fabbri after he was taken roughly into the boards by Pittsburgh's Carter Rowney during the Penguins 4-1 win over the Blues at Scottrade Center. The club later announced that Fabbri will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his left leg. He should return by the beginning of next season for the Blues. Fabbri has had a streaky season with St. Louis. He has gone long stretches without goals, but has still managed to put up 11 goals and 28 assists in 51 games. Fabbri had not scored since his first career hat trick on December 28th against the Flyers. The Blues have recalled Kenny Agostino and Magnus Paajarvi from Chicago to help fill the void. Agostino is currently the AHL's point leader with 60 in 42 games; in 279 career games with the Blues and Oilers, Pajaarvi has 36 goals. He has spend the season in the AHL at Chicago, putting up 16 points in 25 games.
