Anaheim's Nick Ritchie Suspended Two Games for Sucker Punching Rozsival
The NHL's Department of Player Safety has suspended Anaheim Ducks forward Nick Ritchie for his sucker punch on Chicago's Michal Rozsival. Ritchie will miss Anaheim's final regular season game plus the team's first playoff game. This is Ritchie's first first offense. Ritchie was standing up for his teammate Corey Perry, who was crosschecked from behind by Rozsival moments earlier. Ritchie took offense and went after Rozsival, first crosschecking him then delivering a right jab before the Blackhawk defenseman could get his guard up. Losing the forward for a playoff game is a tough blow for Anaheim, who will also be without Cam Fowler to begin the playoffs. The Orangeville, Ontario native has 14 goals and 28 points to go with his 62 penalty minutes on the season. The 21-year-old been very solid at even strength, scoring 13 goals. He is ranked 8th on the Ducks with 1.60 even strength points per 60 minutes.
