Clarke MacArthur took an open ice hit from Ryan McDonagh late in the first period. Had two shifts in the second before going to the room.— Chris Johnston (@reporterchris) April 29, 2017
MacArthur returned to action on April 4 after spending two seasons mostly out of the lineup (out since October 14 of 2015) due to post-concussion symptons. He has been an emotional leader for the Senators down the stretch and scored the series-clinching overtime winner in Game 6 against the Bruins in the first round. The team has not updated on MacArthur's status yet. UPDATE: The injury is apparently not related to MacArthur's past concussion history, which is good news.
