Michal Rozsival Underwent Facial Surgery after Ritchie Sucker-Punch
Chicago Blackhawks' defenseman Michal Rozsival underwent successful facial surgery on Tuesday after absorbing a sucker-punch from Anaheim forward Nick Ritchie last Thursday. "Michal Rozsival underwent surgery today to repair facial fractures," the team said in a statement, according to NHL.com. "Surgery went well and he is expected to make a full recovery." Ritchie was suspended two games for the incident and will miss Anaheim's first playoff game on Thursday night at Honda Center against the Calgary Flames. Here's the punch, for those who haven't seen it: Reportedly, the surgery was done to repair a bone. No word on when Rozsival will return yet.
