"I've stunk since the playoffs started," he told Dan Rosen of NHL.com. Where did he learn that type of talk from, John Tortorella? At least he's honest, and there is plenty of hockey left to play for the Rangers and Stepan. After last night's 2-1 loss to the Senators at Canadian Tire Center, the Rangers trail their best-of-7 series with Ottawa, 1-0. Game 2 is Saturday. Stepan has 45 points in 92 career playoff games. He was the Rangers third-leading scorer in the regular season with 55 points.

Stepan Says His Game Stinks in Playoffs
Derek Stepan is not a fan of Derek Stepan right now. The Rangers center has just an empty-net goal and two points to show for seven playoff games for the Rangers, and he's been struggling in the face-off circle as well with a percentage of just 41.8 thus far in the playoffs. It all adds up to some disappointment from the 26-year-old.
