Watch: Karlsson and Hoffman Befuddle the Bruins
You have your stretch passes and then you have this 120-foot hail mary that flew off the stick of Erik Karlsson to catch Mike Hoffman in stride during first period action of Game 3 of the Senators-Bruins series at TD Garden. It was a beautiful pass (look at the second angle from behind the Boston goal to truly behold the majesty), but you know what? Hoffman's one-handed slick-as-a-beaver's-tail finish might have been even better than Karlsson's home run pass. The goal quieted the raucous TD Garden and gave he Senators a 1-0 lead over the Bruins. 25 seconds later Derick Brassard added his second goal of the playoffs to give the Senators a 2-0 lead, and it has stayed that way through one period. Speaking of great one-handed goals, which was better: Hoffman's beauty or Alexander Radulov's slick move to beat Henrik Lundqvist last night at MSG? We're taking Radulov because he had a defender on his back.
