Eaves, Kase out for Ducks in Game 5

Patrick Eaves (lower body) and Ondrej Kase (lower) will miss tonight's Game 5 between the Anaheim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers at Honda Center. Eaves is missing his second consecutive game. Kase, brought in to replace Eaves in Game 4, was injured after just two minutes of ice time on a hit by Milan Lucic.

That means the door is open for Nic Kerdile to make his NHL debut. The 23-year-old is from Irvine, California and became the first player from Orange County to play for the Ducks when he made his NHL debut on February 22.

Kerdiles is tied for second in the AHL playoff scoring race after scoring six points to help the San Diego Gulls defeat the Ontario Reign in five games.

Defenseman Kevin Bieksa has also been ruled out for Game 5.
